This is a comparison of The Rev's take in Nightmare and Mike Portnoy's take. Theyre essentially the same, but Jimmy didn't have full studio equipment so it sounds kinda dinky. But other than that, see where MP got his ideas from and what he had to follow by.
You can also hear the difference between M. Shadows when his voice is warmed up and when it's not.

@DrumsnotDrugz Seriously, that sounds like a fanboy. You have no knowledge whatsoever of what Portnoy does. If you want to mention a far better drummer than Portnoy, try current DT's drummer Mike Mangini, but The Rev, fuck no. Way exagerated. By the way, Jimmy took the fills and grooves from Portnoy cause he was like a #1 fan of him.

@rudimentmaster101 I'd have to disagree. Sure, Mike is a great drummer. But Jimmy is far more superior. Not just complexity wise, even though Mike can be a ton more complex than a lot of drummers. But, Jimmy has a better sense of groove, and feel. His drum tracks have always been, and always will be, better than Mike's.
