This is Voyager, an autonomous outdoor robot using the LEGO Mindstorms NXT. It is R/C controlled by a PS2 controller. When in auto mode, it maintains a heading using a HiTechnic compass sensor. Eventually it will have GPS for navigation
Sweet! i'm getting the compass sensor soon and make a robot that navigates through the garden and finds its way home. maybe it could be an idea for you to make it better!
Very VERY nice! What is the range on the PS control system, and can the robot recognize a LOS condition and return on the last valid heading? Dang, I need some of those wheels... Have you tried it on any remaining snow mounds in the local strip mall parking lots? Again, wonderful job!

Very nice! I know that you can get wheels from bricklink, except how safe is it, because you deal directly with the seller?
