Track 4.

Songs Of Love And Hate (1996):

A very different approach and sound, leaving their metal sound behind that they've been known for. Yet again a third band member was included. Brian (brain) Mantia played live drums for the first time on a Godflesh record. He left before the tour, to be replaced by Ted Parsons of the band Prong. The band begins to incorporate more dance beats again and the drumming adds a lot to the sound.

Lyrics:
Fear for your own survival
You can't fight what you are (X2)
You're still running, from yourself
Chorus:
No escape, from your own hell
Fear, Hunter
Inside you, Inside me
You can't help but be the hunter,
Man the natural born destoryer

Credits:
G. C. Green - bass
J. K. Broadrick - guitar, vocals
Bryan Mantia - drums

  • Wow, this is fantastic! I'd only heard Streetcleaner (and loved it) but this is a whole different beast. Broadrick is a god.

TRANSCENDENCE CAN ONLY BE ACHIEVED AT MAXIMUM VOLUME

  • Perhaps the best track off this fantastic album. Thanks a lot!
