nate just feels bad for her and thinks she needs a friend at this time, sinceshe didnt get accepted to yale. Plus chuck was being an asshole and not helping her feel better at all. Since nate did a good job at it they became friends again but blair starts to get a few feelings back nate thinks they should be just friends but when they kiss in the park (where they first kissed) they feel that spark blair wanted to feel =]]
