Fallout New Vegas low settings P4

I left HDR on, but swtiched off all the water options and shadows. I also set it to medium textures. Finally, item distance and so on are set to 4, while trees and other LOD are set to the second notch(very low). Land quality is set as low as possible.

It does make a big difference. At the start of this video I get 20fps, with the high settings this location has 11fps. Recorded at 1024x768 game, half size Fraps setting.

That video card type is going to struggle. You're okay on everything else. I had a X1650Pro and it was choppy, and that's a faster version of what you have.

here are my pc specs ,could it run this on low settings without lag?

Processor: dual core 2.4 ghz

graphics card: nividia 7100/ nividia nforce 630i 1 gb ram

memory: 2 gb ram

running on windows vista 32 bit

That built in 7100 is very low power, you'd have to run low resolution 800x600 or less and even then it would not be lag free. The dual core will help in other areas, such as AI and physics but that video is holding you back.

Haha, it only goes down to 800x600, at least on my system. I'll down all low at that res tomorrow.

@flibber123 yeah its a little choppy, ive been playing it though. The game isnt so bad, lol come February I am getting a 1gb video card and microwaving this one
