Yes, and the GIMP was a study supporting GTK for GUI design back in the day. Many seem unaware that GTK and the GIMP were actually funded along time ago. This explains why they are actually comprehensive comparing them to other similar items. The GNU project are purists to the extreme and in my opinion still on track with the real message behind OSI where it is actually meant to educate and not be commercialized/stolen.
