Although I am Asian, I believe Ali calling Frazier an Uncle Tom, a courageous and honorable black man with roots from poverty who fought to earn every inch of his respect, really hurt him personally and in the eyes of the growing civil rights black community. It's like saying Frazier is so stupid and ignorant he supports slavery and white supremacy. That's just very hurtful. It's like calling a Jew a Nazi lover even after what they did to the Jews.
