http://www.fezzari.com Simple steps to change a road bike tire (or bikes with v-brakes) (demonstrated by Fezzari):
1) Shift rear cassette to smallest gear
2) Open brake calipers or v-brakes
3) Remove Quick Release
4) Remove Wheel
5) Remove tire with tire levers (or strong fingers)
6) Check inside of tire and rim for foreign objects
7) Inflate new tube slightly and put in tire
8) Put tire and tube on rim
9) Inflate tire to correct PSI
10) Install wheel on bike
11) Tighten Quick Release
12) Close brake calipers or v-brakes
13) Do final check by spinning wheel

  • 120 psi REALLY! its suposed to be around 40 to 60 psi. WTF!!!

  • @matthewtchernev123 For a road bike yes. 120 psi depending on your weight. Not for a mountain bike. You're going to get pinch flats running 40 to 60 psi on a road bike.

I ride 120 psi, and I really like it, but someone who weighs 130-175 or so may run it with less PSI. Naturally, you'll want to do what makes your ride most comfortable for you.

  • Yeah RIGHT!! It takes me over 30 minutes to replace a tube because the tyre is so tight inside the rim. I did one today and snapped a tyre lever. Any tips on how to get the tyre off when it's extremely tight inside the frame????
