@welderseries Thanks for straightening me out! I mistook the name as a 'series about welding' At any rate you have a great product line idea. It makes the parts very easy to ship and half the fun of projecting building is welding...

@J1RM And leave a brittle deposit. 6010 is generally a bad idea for structural unless it is part of a multipass weld that includes low-hydrogen passes over it (F3-F4 for example)

@dbennett4 , why would he stick weld that? If anything he should use gmaw to tack it the gnaw to weld it. Id recommend 6010 for smaw. Deep penetration!

Did you bevel the ends of the pieces? What process did you use to weld them, SMAW with 7018?

@AeroSport103 Correct, Welder Series is our business name. We make a 'series' of hot rod rod chassis parts for 'welders'. (We also sell them fully welded). Thanks for asking.

It's just tig welded... the ends are beveled for penetration. It's not super-structural.
