Obviously the ump lost his cool, which he shouldn't do. But if that were a manager getting in the umpire's face and yelling like that -- which they do all the time -- would anyone have called the cops? Of course not. So why did they in this case. Ridiculous.

This umpire would bee suspended if I was his UIC. While the coach may have deserved the ejection, there is NEVER a reason for an umpire to act like this. We are paid to be professional at all times. This umpire should be suspended until he goes through more training. This was totally unprofessional.

yeah should of just tapped his arm with left hand and pointed with right and did some circles with it before tossin him i'm a rookie ump so i'm a little scared but i wouldnt do that because it is just a game

This like so many cases...Hey ump! thats a $29.95 shirt not a badge... In my league we as coaches must go through yearly training and back-ground checks but not the Umpires =/

@millerforest BIG difference between what goes on in an MLB game and a youth/HS or even college game. That's his point and to be honest, he's completely correct. The manager was completely out of line, but as an umpire, you are taught how to deal with these situations diplomatically. In this case, after the ump ejected the manager, he should have walked away. If the mgr refused to leave, then you hold up play until he does leave. You NEVER scream at a coach and get in his face like that.

as soon as he (ump) raised his voice, he lost. Very unprofessional. He could of said everything he yelled, in a calm voice and he would of been ok, but no, he "fouled" up

Hey ILOVEUMPS, really? U ever watch MLB umpires? U ever see how they behave at times? And they are PROFESSIONAL UMPIRES???? Why are umpires set to a different level than coaches, players or fans???? Its ridiculous. that umpire was in the wrong but stop being so critical!!!
