@4dbandit I cross-checked it with another video, and he did play a bit of an akward birl. I know it's unusual for someone like Alex Gandy to make mistakes like that, but he is not at the very upper echelon of pipers just yet. He'll be with Gordon Walker, Murray Henderson, Angus MacColl and the likes soon, but even players as good as the three forementioned make mistakes. Otherwise there would be no winners or losers in the Glenfiddich!

@4dbandit I thought I heard that. I think it wasn't a completely flub because the movement was clear. It was just not as crisp and short as one would like it to be.

@MrHoohoodragon Just to be clear, I hold Alex Gandy in the highest regard, and don't mean to malign him in any way. It is unusual for me to hear any mistakes at his level, and it may well be some distortion in the audio of this video, and not any playing fault.

Awesome reel. Classy transition into hornpipe too. 3rd and 4th of Hornpipe real cool too. I like how you play more technically challenging tunes than most would for solos and nail it, in stride. It's admirable. What was the reel called?
