Ive been given a slaughtered chicken, can I freeze it now and defrost to gut it in 5 days time? Or will this be a bad idea? Thanks

i have a question: okay, so i breed chickens for meat for selling to neighbors and what not. now, you said that you dont feed them for awhile before so clean. so how long can they go without eating? i might start doing that because it kinda is gross getting stomach stuff getting on me.

We withhold feed for 24 hours. Do not deprive them of water. By doing this the crop will be empty and the bird will not get dehydrated. Having a clean crop makes everything much nicer. Accidentally breaking open a full crop is indeed messy and can taint the meat.
