The mystical sound at the beginning is a rare musical instrument called the Ondes Martenot, Gordon Parry and I were at a studio outside of London when they were recording the soundtrack for Mohammed Messenger of God. The Ondes Martenot was the physical replacement of Mohammed as they could not use an image of him in the movie.
Inspired from the melody of Soleado by Ciro Dammico, aka Zacar . Financed by Cliff Cooper of Orange Music-known for the great sounding Orange Amplifiers.
Produced by Gordon Parry who brought the whole project together and made it happen.
This song went to number 14 in the UK and was performed on BBC "Top Of The Pops" in 1975. Johnny Mathis did a Vocal version of this a year later called "When a Child is Born" , it went to #1 in the UK charts.
