I was getting really annoyed at the constant drone of the horns at the World Cup, so I decided to try do something about it!
I took a line out from the back of my Sky digibox and used it as an audio input into my laptop. Next, I turned off line-in playback in my audio settings. I then fired up Audacity and recorded some audio. I singled out some of the drone noise, and plotted the frequency spectrum. This showed me when frequencies the drone was made up of. I then open Reaper and created a new track, armed it for recording and turned on monitoring. I then added an EQ effect to the track, turned it on and then added 10 notch filters at the frequencies of the drone.

Howaya, would you make a video tutorial or screencap of you doing this on Audacity? I'd be very interested in making this work. Very nice work by the way,.

@Sacramentobonbon Hey. Unfortunately, Audacity doesn't allow real-time signal processing (as far as I'm aware). I only used Audacity to find out the frequencies of the Vuvuzelas, but I had to use another program, Reaper, to apply real-time effects. As far as I'm aware, Reaper is free to use for one month, so if you think you're up to it, you could download it. Reaper, by the way, is similar to Cubase. Check out the link to my blog post in the description. There's loads more detail there.

can you put that in retarded for me please?

@AgNoSticPope666 I'll try. Simply put, I found the sounds that the horns are making, then use some software to remove those sounds only.
