As my vet said to me about my Scotties build, "She is a Scottie, not a Greyhound".
The breed is solidly built with heavy bones, and is well muscled. Angus looks fine to me, the groomer on the other hand now...

Scottie owners ...I have to question this person's assessment of this dog as "fat". I am not sure how well she knows the breed at all - it certainly does not sound like it and I just hope his owners don't starve him based on these comments!

I am thrilled to see people that care! Thanks for the great comments. I am Scotty lover myself. A local vet did tell me the same thing, Scotty's aren't designed to have waists, but they are supposed to have all muscle, not folds of fat on top of muscle, (kind of like the groomer). Sorry to hit a nerve Scotty owners. The vet says this Scotty is overweight by 20%.
