How to Toilet in the Bush for groups by AdventurePro

How to dig and use a toilet trench as well as carry out your own paper / sanitary waste with a waste tube to minimise your impact on the bush when travelling with a group (e.g. 8 - 16 people).

PLEASE NOTE that toilet trenches should always be located AT LEAST 100 metres away from any water sources and well away from camp sites, walking tracks and places that other people might visit --- i.e. keep it discrete and cover it well to preserve the environment and experience for others!

If I had the shits I probably wouldn't spend an hour digging a massive trench. Also the general rules for a bush toilet is 15cm deep (so animals can't get to it bit it can still degrade and less major roots are damaged) the diameter of a footy would be easy enough to aim for. The less u can dig the better for the plants. Also u should probably mention the fact that you should stay about 100m away from any water source. if people did what u said on a bush walk the walk would be ruined in no time.
