Gizmo is so sweet, but he looks so dejected in the latest blog pics. I wonder if all the grooming wears him out:( I hope he gets to run around in the dirt for a while!

yeah paying a thousand bucks for a Newfie is pretty cheap but here where the breed is from and where I am from I have seen people breed them and sell them for that much. I seen an ad on Kijiji Canada about a lady in the east of the province that sold the pups for $1000.And I agree with you, I would pay a lot for a Newfie as well, they are the best in the world :) I had one that was part Newfie and part Labbie, he was the greatest friend in the world :D

@steammaker24 thats cheap mate, my mother spent £1400 on a bitch 9 months ago. i think that is about $2000.

but whichever way you look at it, i'd pay £10,000 for a newfie. no question about it. best dogs in the world.

the Newfoundland breed does get costly, up to a $1000 at least. Find a reputable breeder and not some puppy mill :( think of a rescue that is part Nfld dog, cause even if there is a least bit of that breed in a dog, you have a winner no matter what. Good luck in your search :)

you cannot find another breed that is so laid back but protective than the Newfoundland dog :) I would highly recommend this dog to those who have a family of kids and who loves to swim.

LOL, there's no reason to be scared of a newfie. They may be huge, but once they catch you the most they'll do is lick you to death! <3 This is hilarious!
