This song is a re-worked version of Eddie Arnolds hit record from 1951 "I want to play house with you". Isn´t it? Country and R&B musicians changed each others material. It just shows that the whole black and white discussion is nonsense.

my aunts husband (my uncle through marriage), his uncle is arthur gunter:the oringinal singer and songwriter of this song (died in 1978)....as old as this song is he sill recieves royalty checks from this song
