  • The boycot of chinese product won't happen. Would you be willing to pay 5 times as more for products if you can get it for 5 times less from china??? If the government stops exporting goods from china, the the living standard will decrease significantly.

  • I don't know...why don't you ask HK people whether they are happy to accept the likes of...

    Anson Chan

    Wong Jim

    Lang Lang

Why don't you ask the stores and shop keepers who depend heavily on visits from mainlanders for business.

That's cuz China grew 17,444% in the past 30 years.

No nation in the modern era was able to pull off an economic growth story of 10% per annum for 30 years straight.

    (1.10)^(30) = 17,444% growth.

If you had $1 in 1982, and invested in China's GDP, it would return $17,444 dollars to you by 2010, not to mention that China is still growing at 8-9% in the forseeable future.

10 years from now, China will double her GDP, by 2030, Quintuple.

HK will merge with Shenzhen to rival NYC, Tokyo, London by 2047 after "One country, two systems" expires.
