@LukeSniper Well first of all you didnt say that in the video, and second of all you said that "Spider chord changes" were partially inspired by Dave Mustaine when "Spider chord changes" is exactly what he made, but I guess we just misunderstood eachother

@NathanCMusicz As I mentioned, I've got a classical background. A general guideline for classical picking is that your thumb handles the E A and D strings, while your index, middle, and ring fingers handle the G B and E strings respectively.
Obviously, you can't play the first part with just your thumb, so I use my thumb and index finger. Any notes on the B string are played with my middle finger, notes on the high E are played with my pinky.

@TheDawnDelight Yes, partially. It's also inspired by the intro to the Joe Satriani song "Big Bad Moon".

@wdxaw Yes, it is. My hosting company went out of business, before I could get another one, I lost my home. A couple months later my domain expired and some Chinese dude bought it and wants $200 for it. Basically 2011 has been REALLY crappy.
Send me a private message with your e-mail and I will send you the pdf.

Question about the last part with the octaves. When you're picking, I imagine you're using your thumb and your pointer/middle/ring finger. Do you just keep using your thumb and one finger, or for each octave change, do you switch to the next finger donw the line, and repeat?
Sick video, thanks!

@NathanCMusicz It's a tough exercise! Make sure you stay in position the whole time. Your index finger can ONLY play 1st fret notes, middle finger ONLY plays 2nd, and so on.
