Laibach usually don't do two similar works one after another. Instead, they and their collaborators tend to come up with brand new ideas. Therefore one could presume that Volkswagner has a different kind of Laibachian sound than LAIBACHKUNSTDERFUGE. We'll see.

Here Laibach are repeating the mantra of their own history. They present for us the varied and chaotic landscape of musical and aesthetic heritage they have become part of, and their unique position in it. But they are also reinterpreting that heritage. Their context is yesterday, their reality is today, from which they extrapolate the Laibach continuum and trajectories of tomorrow.
