Official Licensed Product... Somewhat of a Squire but Musicman made. They're great basses for the very low price!

i got a 5 string one for less around 170, and made it fretless.

i own a real stingray 5 and played a olp one just like it. nothing is the same. the tone is WAY off the neck doesnt feel anything like the real one. if you dont have the money for a real one these arnt bad basses but are nothing like a real musicman. you get what you pay for!end of story...

@PhuckHue2 OLP didn't go out of business because of complaints. They stopped making them because Ernie Ball was brininging out the "Sterling by Musicman" line which essentially is the same as OLP or at least the higher end OLPs like the Tony Levin model.

@gust0o OLP has an active model as well. Its a Tony Levin model for OLP. I bought a passive 5 string OLP and I like it for the price.

i have this same OLP and ivbe got a real stringray fretless...
if you can get your hands on an OLP do it..make sure its in good condition..MM have put out the 2 band stingray again but with a price of 1800$ which is stupid when you can get an OLP and upgrade it for 1/3rd of the price..when i hold the real ray in my hands with my eyes closed and have the OLP in my hands the differnces are very small..i highly suggest the OLP modded they are as nice as a real ray..not moded they arent horrible!

Get your facts right, dude...

@universalrenote I think the real difference will come from the fact that the OLPs use passive pick-ups as stock, versus the actives in most Musicmans.
That's one difference - the other being the price!!!

The neck bows on every instrument you just need to take it to a tech to get it set-up.
-
wow dude you ripped off. I bought this bass brand new for $150. it will last you a few years before the neck starts to bow. OLP went out of business because of the complaints
how much did they want for that bass? i have an olp 5 string i bought new. i like it and they arent very expensive. ive had mine for a couple of years. i think they have quit making them now but im not sure.

They had 300.00 on it, but a pawn shop. They would take 250 cash. I really liked it, as good as a Squier. One hummbucker is what i rock now!
