Game: Battlestations: Pacific
System: Xbox 360
Campaign: USA

A walkthrough of mission 14. The LAST mission in the U.S. campaign.

Part 1.

Hidden Objective(s): Sink the Yamato before it reaches the shore; Early in the mission you will hear that the Yamato has been intercepted and will soon enter the battlefield. Once it it does it will appear on the North part of the map and will make a beeline for the shore after you discover that it has changed its course and is trying to run aground. One of your groups of ships is already in the northern part of the map so keep it there and send your other group of ships to rally with it (not just to take out the battleship, but because the airfield keeps spawning aircraft and the air attacks won't really die down until you capture it). If you sink it BEFORE it gets to the shore then you will have completed the hidden objective. NOTE: Even if you fail and the Yamato reaches the shore I would highly recommend that you destroy it anyways. The main guns can wreak havoc among your ships. Also it moves suprinsgly fast for a battleship.

Secondary Objective(s): Escort the transport ship carrying medical supplies out of the battlefield; Around halfway through the mission a ship will request that you help it reach its destination so it can deliver supplies to marines. It comes with a ship that can provide support, but the main threat to it are the squadrons of aircraft so send over a squadron of Hellcats to deal with the threat. PT boat threats are not as high, but take them out if they get too close. There is only one transport and if it makes it then you will have completed the secondary objective.

Completing this mission on any difficulty does not unlock any new units.
Completing this mission with a gold rank (completing ALL the objectives) unlocks the TBM-3 General Motors Avenger

  • I have a question, that has nothing to do with this mission; How do you play skirmish with light cruisers? If I select "cruiser" in the game, only heavy cruisers are avalible. But I wanna play as De Ruyter... =P

  • @Papadragon18 Try playing the "Island Capture" skirmish mode. Typically more units are available there.

  • @Assin180 Thanks, I've tried that, but I will try a different map this time, see if that works.

  • @Papadragon18 Okay.

  • @Assin180 It did work! Tnx for the help!

  • @Papadragon18 No problem.

  • Can you do single player skirmishes?

  • Can you do a single player skirmish/island capture?

  • Guy: " Enemy ship sighted sir!"

Commander: "...... We have an Iowa class..... So stfu."

  • Finally you get to use my favorite battleship the Wisky!

My fav for 2 reasons: part of the most powerful battleship class in the world and Wisconsin is my home state.
