@Numetalfan . I agree,The British Isles are simply magical. Scotland has harsh yet magestic mountains, stunning scenery and beautiful lakes. England has it's perfect unspoiled countrysides, Wales has it's amazing coast and Ireland has it's endless forests and emerald plains. If you look past the ugly cities and technoligy, you will find true beauty in the nature of each of these countries. thumbs up if you agree :)

The ad is for ' Visit Scotland in Winter.' - was filmed in June probably. Winter lasts from September til May ...there is rain rain rain day after day - with the occasional blizzard and that's followed by a month of filth, grit and slush - plus it is dark by 3.30 pm. Do not visit Scotland in winter.

to the morons slagging this film off - you obviously never get out into the countryside. Scotland is often just like in this advert - yes often. I have been all over Scotland in good and bad weather - every country has good and bad weather - but look at our landscapes,lochs,mountains,whi­sky distilleries,forests,rivers,ci­ties,fishing....I can go on and on. Who wants boring heat all of the time?...criticise it only when you have stood on a mountain summit on a beautiful cold, bright winters day.

Seriously folk on here to get a grip! It's Scotland, where its rains nearly 300 days a year, winter months run from September to March. It gets dark about four o clock from end of November till January. It's always freezing like minus 10 degrees! Overall its a bloody braw place to come and see!:)
