The power has to come from somewhere, if you only have a total of 5000W input power, it doesn't magically turn into 15000W of output power. with enough duty you will drain the caps and the amp will fall on its face, or require a greater input current.

dude thats one bad ass amp. and i wouldnt be suprised within the next 2-3 years Rockford and stillwatter put that hybrid technology in all of their amps. think of it pushin a grand of power to a pair of 15s and only useing a 8gua power wire to run back to the amps, shit that hybrid amp is more effecent than a hybrid car, when have you heard of the 1.6l engine getting 500% better fuel economy due to the hybrid electric system? thats why i love mobile audio our technology actualy advances.
