Planted as a street tree in Vancouver, BC, this unusual fruit tree is well-loved by visitors from Northern Iran. Picked in late Fall, the fruit is left to ripen indoors until it is quite soft, "bletting". Some say the fruit tastes like "really good apple butter".

  • Or you could just wait after a good freeze and pick them after that. I trade you some Oklahoma wild persimon seeds for Medlar seeds....My persimons got zapped by freeze and wow sweet tasting like real egg nog LOL
