"I'm Late-I'm Late" Focus 3rd movt. by Eddie Sauter, conducted by Jack Elliot with Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra-1999. Ray Pizzi Sax Soloist.
The piece was composed for Stan Getz, 1961 in the midst of the third stream movement that intergrated jazz and classical music.
...A music history factoid...Stan Getz also studied Bassoon with Simon Kovar.
The orchestral piece, mostly improvised for Tenor Sax, contains interesting features as bi-tonal scales and complex time signatures.
In Loving Memory of Jack Elliot, Friend, Composer, Arranger, Conductor and FOUNDER of the Henry Mancini Institute. Thanks for all the beautiful Music and Thrills Jack.
this music is so awesome, it's too bad there's not very many musicians who played this kind of music

..... You gotta look for those dedicated musicians and composers, they're out there. This COUNTRY is STEEPED in STUPIDITY, STAGNATION and NON-SUPPORT for our great music.... BUT.....Believe me, they're out there, make it a daily challenge to find and support them...they need to be heard, respected and encouraged. Thank You.. for the 5* comment.
