  • I'm a bass player, so I don't think I understand this whole trend that's going on with guitar amp makers. Why are they making the vintage styled amps that emulate the sounds of vintage amps, but with less control over the sound, and a higher price than an actual vintage amp?

  • Get off Charles back man...

  • Hhhmmm this might be a perfect archtop amp.

  • Why is every new amp coming out either for metal or like vintage style?

  • @Socioistic Ok.

  • @smacman68

Wow, you must be terrible with money. "Who needs a tone knob? If I want a darker tone, I'll just buy the same guitar and put flats on it."

  • @Socioistic Very simple. I was at the NAAM show at the Mesa booth, and ask a similiar question to the rep. He stated the the amp has the tone the maker wants it to produce built into to the curcuit. He said, "you buy this amp, you buy it for that particular tone." And that many people set it one time, and never adjust it again. Why have all that extra stuff that is not going to get used? Want a different tone? Get a different amp.

  • whoa man, is it 2011? Im a time traveler...

  • Fans of The League Of Gentlemen will no doubt chuckle at Creme Broulee.lol

  • Now that genial Joe Coffey has departed Charles is my interviewer of choice...

  • Great looking amp. I'd love to hear it PLAYED. Even IN TUNE would be nice. ;-)

  • walking zombie interview. Nothing special about this amp..
