Weekend Project: Fume extractor

this is a kipkay weekend project by make magazine. i made it in about 4 days. only because i tried to make it fit in a altoids can and it kept breaking. instead i put it in a tackle box from walmart that i got for a buck.

did you use a volt regulator?

@bittnerbittner no. i figured it wasn't really necessary with 2 fans running. plus with out a voltage regulator the fans run faster. you don't really need one

Where is the carbon filter (the main point of the extractor)?

@ZT742 not on this one. i did not buy one. i know it is the main point. but for me the main point was just to suck the fumes away from my face.

you forgot the most important thing!! carbon fiber to extract the fumes! without it your just blowing the fumes away and not actually making it safe :P

2 fans = more electricity concumption = rechargeable battery = good idea

rechargeable battery = long life = good idea

its cool but the fans are too small and its better if you gives them 12v and 1.25A soo the will be better but its cool
