@lewis3265 Actually apbts are half american bulldog and machester terrier. English bulldogs are an unhealthy breed bred just for looks. No athletism whats so ever. The bulldog from yesteryears is a healthy, strong athletic breed that looks nothing like the english bulldog.

@Al2006essandro Wikipedia is written by your average joe my good man. Bulldog breed enthusiast say the it was crossed with a pug, just like some dumb "designer breeds" these days which aren't breeds at all.

@lewis3265 Not this bulldog kid, the old english bulldogs which was a dog that looked very similar to todays pitbulls, the modern day english bulldog is a cross between the original old english bulldog and a pug.

@lewis3265 - firstly, i never called you a liar. And secondly a pit would win 100/100 fights against this breed, thats why no one uses these to fight. And im not interested in Bulldogs of past centuries, i'm talking here and now. The reason people use pits to fight is i would to think to any intelligent person, very obvious. I mean Christ... Bulldogs have trouble breathing for fucks sake.

@Hardysamnin you obviously don't know an english bulldogs history. Why don't you look it up you might learn something. Todays bulldog has had most of the vicious bread out of them but go look up their history on fighting. What do you think the pit is half of? ENGLISH BULLDOG. Learn the facts before you talk. @lewis3265 - pits are bread for fighting, bulldogs can barely get back up when put on their back so how is it gonnna compete. I've never owned a pit but i currently own a british bulldog. It couldnt win a raffle, never mind a fight against a pit.

@FliPWR21 you dont know what your talking about. English bulldogs range in size 40 to 60lbs, same as the pit bull. Same weight, the bull dog is only shorter and their similar in strength. But, if they got into a fight and didn't know eachother the pit would probably win but the bulldog would put up a fight. I know I had one of each and they lived together. In most cases my english bulldog tore up the pit when they got into scraps
