I'm a Nepali Hindu and I know when my parents die I will have to do this. I don't think I will be able to do it. Its wayyy to creepy I'm not brave enough..

Though I definitely agree with the science>religion sentiment, it's really a shame that so many Westerners don't actually know dick about science because stupidity is the new "in" thing... And for the people who find this "cruel", how in the hell are open-casket funerals any better!? Yes, drain the blood from your dead loved one, stuff their body cavities with gauze, add some glue and facepaint, cover up the stink, and put 'em on public display. LOL SO CIVILIZED!

Whether you realize it or not, you're still going to die just like everybody else... Hindu, Christian, Buddhist, etc. What is done with your body after really doesn't matter. This just happens to be how this culture performs funerals.
What really matters is your destination after death.

u r a victom of what I call "western mind". do u know what is eval in u'r mind is not necessarily wrong for some one else? U'r preception of right and wrong comes from u'r up bringing and u'r ability of processing information independently. U grew up in a place where they dig a hole and close with soil. Ofcos every ignorent person thinks that their view is the only correct way to look at things. plz know that there r lot more different ways inthe world than u'r narrow minded view.
