This was extremely helpful, Kelly. I am a pretty advanced knttter and knit quite fast, but take my hand off of the right needle a bit too much and subsequently lose some control when using laceweight yarn. You hold everything very much like I do, but seeing how you control the right needle with your fingers really clicked for me. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. Go English style knitting!! :)
FYI.. the woman who holds the title for World's Fastest Knitter... knits ENGLISH. Take THAT to the bank and smoke it! ;)
I have always felt that a person will knit the fastest using the technique with which they feel most comfortable. I tell this to my students ALL the time and encourage them to develop their own "habit".
@KelyK70 I know I'm WAY late, but thanks. Also, I think you mean "you can put that in your pipe and smoke it", or else you mean "you can take it to the bank"? The former means "Please contemplate my arguments against your misconceptions", while the latter means "What was said is the absolute truth and can be verified by a third party source."

@whitehotfire
LOL! What I said was intentional. I just happen to enjoy the mixed metaphor. ;)
