  • Is that your tractor ted

  • @TheDixieladie - it sure is. One of four that I am lucky enough to own. This one is the MX5100, and I like it a lot.

  • Hi great videos very imformative,I would like to purchase a box blade Due to watching your video) but here in the uk I can only get a 6ft model and my tractor width is 7ft will I have problems with the tractor being wider than the blade? or can I live with it?

  • You can live with it, but you won't like living with it. . . No 7 foot box blades in UK?

  • Think you could do a video taking after this one, and show how to use the tines/shredders for dirt work?

  • Can you be a little more specific about what exactly you are looking to see us do with it. We are getting ready to have a big video shooting day with a lot of attachments for "How to Maintain a Gravel Road" and we will have a box blade there.

  • @2strokedetroit I have a 6' box blade that I use to move snow. I also use the loader some. I tilt the blade up by extending the top link to make sure I don't tear up my driveway. The blade fills up quick so on about 50' of driveway I pull it to the bottom, pick up the blade, and then go again. I then use the loader to clean up the pile. You can push backward on it but they aren't really made to push weight and if the snow is heavy you risk bending the frame, especially on a lighter blade.

  • I always forget which way to do the top link if I want to cut down deep or if I want to smooth it out

  • how big of a box you reccomend for a 2210 yanmar?

  • @lanesteele240 You were probably looking at the roll over type box blades. I had one a few decades ago. You roll your box over to use the rippers. Rather than having to lower each ripper blade. Can be pretty easily done from the tractor by reaching back and releasing a lever, then driving forward (or reverse, can't remember)

  • Very Nice! Thanks!

  • every box blade that i have ever seen has the theeth up. whyndo they even come with them

  • Nice one great tips!! love the bit about getting rid of standing water

  • Can the box blade be used to spread topdressing (say 1/4" thick) without damaging the turf (say tall fescue but to 3")?

  • United makes good stuff for the money. I have a 6.5' United disk harrow to go on the back of my '98 Massey Ferguson 231. KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING TED!!!

  • Where was this recorded??
