WBT reporter Mike Doyle recently returned from a trip to the Hawaiian island of Kauai, the most rural of the state's islands, which includes miles of pristine beaches, jaw-dropping mountains and the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific," Waimea Canyon. But that's just a few of the many attractions visitors will find on Kauai. Travelers can fly directly to the island's main city, Lihue, rather than wasting hours of time connecting through Honolulu. Prepare to bring extra cash--it's expensive--and sun block!
