this fan has that classic air flow sound box fans still have to this day maybe its because of the vent design that gives these fans that vrbvrbvrb effect

Lasko is a very good company. They really should remake these and sell them as high velocity box fans. It would be that simple

They sure dont make them like how they used to. I give that fan 9/10 score due to the fact thats been well taken cared of and probably works 10xxx better than any other fan sold on todays market. Great product of the 50's...

Man, that sound sure brings back memories. I love the way those sound. Still have it at the old farm house, and the SOB still runs all summer long.

My Aunt Bobby had a fan like this. Come summer, we kids would stay at her place in Ohio an the fan ran day and night and was moved from room to room to trying keep her house cool. That sound was one of the memories I have of summer time in the late 1950's. Aunt Bobby got rid of the box fan when she tripped over it and it cut her toe.
She used window air conditioners from 1963 on till her death in 1985.
Wonder if this is her old fan?

@ufoengines It's possible.....I got it from ebay, so I don't know who the original owner was.

I do have another Lasko box fan like this except the other one is reversible with oscillating louvers in front of the blades.
