Final Fantasy 9 was a damn good game. It's just really underrated.

I liked most of the gameplay mechanics, and some of the characters (Steiner, Vivi) were likable, but most of the rest were either annoying or forgettable, and the plot was a nonsensical mess.

It was worth the play-through I gave it at the time, but it's not exactly something I want to go back and revisit every few years the way I do with IV, VI, VII, LttP, Chrono Trigger, etc.

Hell I remember those light up goblets those pretty awesome

I had those games. Sneak King had a mode where you could see through the kings mask and hear him breathing.

My cousin calls it child predator mode
