Is there an Indian way of doing business?

Business Sutra attempts to answer that question through a special series of conversations with well known mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik. Pattanaik believes that mythological stories along with symbols and rituals are the tools through which our ancestors shared their wisdom, wisdom that is relevant even in modern times. Business Sutra is an attempt to make the wisdom of mythology accessible and applicable to the corporate world.

Hosted by Menaka Doshi, Business Sutra will, over 4-5 episodes, discuss the purpose of a corporation, short term goals versus long term ideals, leadership qualities, dharma sankat and modern day business conflicts, ownership versus management, the lifecycle of a business and similiar issues pertaining to Leadership & Governance.

Profit is not always good: this is whats exactly happening today in the world companies are making profit at the cost of health(cigarettes,pharmaceutic­als) of people and at the cost of environment(Oil,Car manufacture..leading to global warming) at the cost of Peace(making weapons and fighter jets). Hence, profit is not good if it comes at these costs.That is why we need to ask ourselves, we are making profit out of the environment or are we killing the golden goose(earth) by our greed.
