NOTE (December 18, 2011): This method for removing Timeline only applied to those who enabled it before its public release. Now that it's being rolled out to everyone, there is no way to remove Timeline and revert back to the old profile.

Facebook Timeline feature is not publicly launched now, and only developers can use it.
If you've activated Facebook Timeline and want to disable it, all you have to do is just delete that app.
Follow the steps shown in this video and disable Facebook Timeline Profile.

I got the damned timeline because they said it was being launched like the 15th of february or something, but my friends still have the old profile.... Doh. I hate my timeline so much

It keeps popping up on my FB wall that I can try TIMELINE. I refuse each time, and it goes away. I keep wondering if they'll just leave me alone and forget about me. I HATE that thing. I go to friends' walls, and have NO idea what I'm looking at, or where to find any postings.

Check out our channel, we have found a way to remove timeline.
Notice: It only removes timeline on your computer. Meaning if your friends don't use the same trick, they will still see the timeline.
