In America, especially in the west, many people complain whenever church bells are rung too often. Many churches with "progressive" pastors consider bells unnecessary or "pre-Vatican." Also, many newer churches don't have any bells at all, and they are quite expensive.
Traditionally, the bell is a sacramental and is sometimes called the voice of God. My parish rang our single bell many times on Easter Sunday, as well as every Sunday, but it is manually rung and very heavy.

Que lástima que en muchas catedrales en América se haya perdido esa tradición del repique de campanas, y máxime en un día TAN importante como la Pascua de Resurrección de Nuestro Señor Jesús.
