Secrets of the Boys{JB Love Story} Chapter 6

{Michelle's POV}



Joe called the airport immedietly and got tickets for the next flight out. I couldn't even pack for myself. We didn't have time either. We would find out what to d when we got there. I had completely stopped doing everything. Joe had to litterly pull me to the car. I just sat there. I was kind of like a dool that was breathing if you go for all those analogy things.
We got to the aiport 15 minutes later, and pretty much ran through all the security and boarding room, Joe pulling me the whole way.
We landed 5 hours later and I was somewhat past shock, and from that went straight to denial. I kept telling myself that when we get to my ld house he's going to be standing on the porch with arms wide open. Just like he would do when I came home from my mom's.

When we got there.....he wasn't. He must be inside then, I thought. Joe hasn't talked either I noticed. I think he was waiting for me too. Well, he'll be waiting a while. I started to walk up the sidewalk to the front steps and thought of the old times.

"Daddy!" I yelled running and hugging his legs. They were all I could reach.
"Hi honey!" He said putting his hand on my back.
"Albert." I heard my mother say as a greeting.
"Margret." He would say back. Then he looked down at me. "How about we get some ice cream?"
I nodded my head excitedly. He always did this but it the next time was always as exciting as the first.
"You spoil her way too much, Albert." My mom said disapprovingly.
" Everyone needs to be spoiled just a little. Isn't that right, Michelle." He said winking at me.
I laughed and turned around to see my mom roll her eyes and drive off. She didn't say good-bye. I don't rember if she ever did. She had her own other family to tend to. My dad refused to remarry because he said 'It would take attention away from me'.

I felt tears start to pour down my face again. I grabbed the knob and turned it. It was locked. My dad NEVER locked the door. And when he meant to, he would forget. I went for the key under the mat, but instead I fell to my knees. I felt Joe kneel down beside me and wrap his arms around me. He started to rock me and humm the same song he did before. I think it's You Gardien Angel. Why that song...Ugh.

'I turned the radio on as I started to sweep.

I heard the door open and shut softly and my dad walk into the living room. I ran out to meet him. He had aged alot. Times hadn't been that good to him. He used to be built like a wrestler, but all that muscle turned to, well, nothing really. His black hair had thick gray streaks and his eyes had huges bags under them. He was getting up there, but he wasn't gonna leave me. He promised me he wouldn't.

"He promised me he wouldn't." I murmered.
"Hmmm?" Joe asked.
"He promised me." I repeated.
"Promised you what?" He asked.
"He promised not to leave! He promised!" I felt the hysterics come.

"Dad?" I asked.
He put the paper down and looked at me. "Yes?"
" Mommy said that everyone is gonna die. But you're not, right?"
He smiled. "Now, now. You don't think I would leave you, do you?"
"Nope. But you promise right?"
"Ofcourse." He said laughing a little.
"Say it." I had to make sure.
" I promise not to die and leave you. Now go ahead and keep playing. It'll be bed time soon.
