When Zak and his girlfriend Delphina visit his estranged father for Yom Kippur in the Catskills, they find him suffering from dementia and inadvertently uncover a dark family secret from WWII: an impossible sacrifice Zak's grandfather (Eli Wallach) made to join Rudolf Kasztner's controversial freedom train out of Hungary.

My reaction to it was similar to yours, it is a strong topic from real life yet entertaining as well. The movie is now available to rent or purchase. I agree that it is best when viewed on the big screen, the photography is beautiful, and rich in color. Was not aware of the reaction to it. A plethora of apologies to all for the late response.
