Chapter 168: Fairness

Nick's eyes widened and he whirled around in his seat.

Dad was standing at the entrance to the auditorium. It was hard to read his expression from so far away, so that just added to the apprehension of when we were called to leave.

We ended up winning the show, which made us very happy. We each held a handle of the trophy and smiled at the audience. Joe and Kevin were beaming up at us. They knew about my talent, as well as Nick's, and they had never put me second. To them, Nick and I were equals.

The principal told us we could leave right after giving us the trophy. We nodded, then walked slowly towards our father. He didn't say a word, but led us to the car. Nick and I hopped into the back seat and watched as he started the car and drove off.

It was a silent drive, until we were five minutes away from the venue.

"Why didn't you tell me you could sing that way Nicole?" Dad asked.

"I've tried...we've tried," I said quietly.

"We?" he asked.

"I have tried to get it across to you that Nicki has talent, Dad. You never listen!" Nick said.

"I always listen son," Dad replied.

"If you always listen, than why did you adress only me about the song? Nicki and I were both excited about it. We wanted to sing together! I didn't want to do it when you made it out to only be me, but she told me to," Nick said.

"I didn't know Nicki had a voice because she never sings around the house."

"She does Dad, you're just not listening. You don't listen or even care if it's not me," Nick said angrily.

"I do young man. And you better watch your attitude," Dad warned.

"No you don't! I had to beg you to let her sing BACK UP on the song! How is that being fair?" Nick almost yelled. This was a touchy subject for him. I put my hand on his arm, but it was too late.

"Nicholas Jerry, you can expect the hairbrush right now," Dad said, parking the car in a spot, but leaving the engine running. "Nicole, sit in the front seat, now."

Dad got out and slid into the back. He grabbed the hairbrush out of the back pocket of his seat. He had it there just in case something happened that warranted a punishment. Dad pulled Nick over his knee and pulled down his jeans and underwear.

"I'm sorry that I don't seem to be fair between you two, and I will try to fix that, but you will not speak to me like that Nicholas."

With that, Dad had started Nick's punishment. It didn't stop until Nick was sobbing over his knee, his bottom was crimson, and he was limp. Dad held Nick until he stopped crying, then he walked us inside. Nick held Daddy's hand tightly.

When Dad left, promising to return for the show, I drug Nick over to Simon and Ruby. I asked her for lotion, and she knew what I meant. Ruby and Simon were a couple in the show with the leading roles. They were married, and they also knew how we got punished, having accidentily caught us sitting lightly and glimpses of red thighs.

I had taken Nick to the back in a private room, and given him some lotion so that he would have relief for the show.************************

NICKI's P.O.V.

"That was not a fun experience," Nick said. He hopped up onto the counter next to me, and leaned his head back against a cabinet.

"I know...Go wake up our brothers. It's time to eat," I said.

"Got'cha Sissy," Nick said. He kissed my cheek, stole a piece of bacon, then hurried out of the room to a smack on the bottom from me.
