This is one of my signature looks. I've done it hundreds of times for models
and actresses for shoots and events and I occasionally wear it myself. It
can be a great minimal chic look for day or work equally well as a glamorous
sexy look for evenings. You can play around with the thickness of the line
to create a different feel and experiment with the colour. It takes a bit of
practice to do it on yourself but its definitely worth the effort - its a
great modern classic!

  • Exceptional tutorial; it has helped me achieve the winged liner look more easily than before :). This is already a challenge for me because I have uneven mono lid eyes, where my left eye is slightly larger and has a more prominent "crease" than my right eye. It's funny because for my right eye, I have to draw on a really thick line in order to similarly mirror my left eye.

  • @Tammsification oh great, glad it helped. Yes that happens a lot x

  • So helpful! What is the best shadow "look" for this liner--just a single nude color? I have blue eyes--what is your favorite brown gel liner? Thanks!! Lisa

  • @LisaLisaD1 my favourite brown gel liner is probably 'chocolate shimmer by bobbi brown....it seems to work on everyone. I would do a nude wash of something over the lid and then a little something neutral in the crease for a bit of depth. x

  • Hi Lisa, can you give an advice how to properly remove gel eyeliner ? I love its effect, but I use it just on special occasions, because it's so difficult to remove..I use Bioderma cleanser, just as you.

    Thanks in advance !

  • @YoungDamnedLust I experience the same thing with all types of eyeliner and it gets frustrating (even with eye shadow).

  • This is a lovely look, but do you know any tricks for people with curly eyelashes? My hair is curly, which in turn has caused my eyelashes to be naturally curly, so I always find applying eyeliner to be quite difficult.

Btw, I love ALL your vids. I'm trying not to watch them all at once!

  • You are amazing!!!!!! THis was sooo helpful!!!!! <3

  • I do the this every single dayyy, im so used to it that it takes me a few seconds to do each eye :)) & looks just as good as yours

  • to me you're like a mix of nigella lawson & kirsten stewart c:

  • you say not to curl your lashes, but what if I have naturally curled lashed? I allways have problems with my lashes when I use eyeliners, the eyeliner gets on the tip of my lashes and they "get in the way" while I'm drawing the line; any sugestions?

    Thank you

  • How do you manage to avoid smudging the liner when you curl your lashes? I always smudge when I curl mine...
