Riley Children's Hospital Child Life

A presentation detailing how the Child Life Program demonstrates that caring for children means more than medicine at Riley. Child Life Specialists work to help create a healing environment where children can feel safe, comfortable and surrounded by the familiar things of childhood even in the hospital. The medical staff as well as the Child Life Specialists know that a song, a game and smiles can distract a child during treatments. It's all part of the holistic approach at Riley where nobody forgets that children are special.
