  • I love PC file transfer. Been around for a long time. Old school does have its benefits in that it allows you to understand how a physical file is built and gets you more familiar with OS400. Thank you for the tutorial

  • You certainly show how to create a physical file. An easy way to accomplish the same task would have been to create a file transfer from PC to AS/400 using IBM i Access File Transfer. A FDF file will be created that contains the field layout and the file is created automatically. Your method is definitely old school and works.
