A while ago, I played some "bullet hell" games and wondered if it was possible to make the transition to 3D. I got down to programming and this is the result. Of course, this is just a concept test. A real game would have more patterns, better graphics, and just much more content. But it is certainly doable.

bullets blend in too much and the depth perception is off. But good job anyways

Maybe on a 3DS. Kind of reminds me of Face Raiders.

3D Danmaku is not impossible. But the background would have to change. You would need walls, shadows, etc. Maybe something like the game Rakion.

@TerraGamerX - this is the kind of thing that the new 3D-display PS3 update (or the 3DS once it drops next year) would be uniquely suited for. Being able to properly judge distance for a game concept like this would...well....own. Great work.

What (programming language, tools) did you use to make this? And do you have any intention of doing more with this? I'd love to have a chance to play with the code, if you're up to it - hit me up with a message or something!

im not really sure if a 3D bullet hell game would work in the same way as a 2D bullet hell game, still, a very interesting idea...

In my opinion you should put the camera higer and let the ship move forward and backward... Come on, keep it up man, I want to be the first to try a 3D bullet hell shooter XD
