First Build, i'm proud of it and it's pretty good for me at least. here's some specs:
GIGABYTE X48-DS4 MoBo
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
ZALMAN CNPS9700 110mm
PNY 4GB (4x1GB) RAM
Corsair Dominator RAM Cooler (not in vid, just got it =])
ASUS ATi HD4850
Segate 250GB 7200rpm HDD
MassCool HDD Cooler
NZXT Nemesis Elite edition Case
BFG Tech 650W PSU

for those of you who want to know, i have switched the side window fan and the case fan in the back because i felt that with the ZALMAN cooler i just need a pretty passive fan in the back since that one was a molex and you can't regulate rpms with it. So i put the 3-pin one in the window instead.

  • Hey nice setup.. Im thinking of building, msi p55, intel core i5 750 2.66 GHZ, 2x ddr3 2g,, 5770 vapor x....and for coolers and towers

a hyper 212 coolmaster, and tower: cm690 6 fan coolmaster.

What do u think of that setup? Will be pritty good?

  • @AJsfree2toke Definitely actually I was planning something like that sometime in the future. Except mine was a little more expensive with an 800D, EVGA P55.

Oh and I might hold of on that though to wait for nVidia's GTX400's and see what those are going to be like.

Other than that sounds good to me =]

  • how much this cost you?

my freind is estimating £4000+ for me and he's a real computer genious

  • @wildgeko123 at the time, this was about $1100, but now im sure you can get something even better for about $750-$800

  • @AJsfree2toke

i'd get the HAF 922 instead.. looks better.. IMO

  • @TheMegaOuch that sounds pretty good. Very similar to my new build, except i have 4GB DDR3 1333, a 500GB HDD, and a Phenom II X4 955. It works well in this case.

  • I just built a new system out of this case. Its a little small for my tastes, but it fits a 5770 fine, and thats more than enough for what I need it for. Front panel connectors are a bitch tho, lol. Its pretty friggin loud too. But, it performs well enough so far. I could be happier with cooling tho. My Phenom II X4 955 idles at around 25c-26c with a thermaltake V1, so we'll see what it does under load.

  • @turbotonic27 yeah im working on it now, give me a couple of mins

  • @turbotonic27 I dont consider it very noicy but friends have told me that it is. I have a GTX260 in it now and it becomes pretty noicy if I turn the fan up to 100%

I personally do not have a problem with noise though.

  • well i got 3 230mm fans

  • Any good?

    AMD PHENOM II X4 945 3.0 GHz AM3

    XIGMATEK SCORPION HDT-S1283 COOLER

    4GB Corsair Memory DDR3 1600 (2 x 2gb)

    250GB SATA Hard Drive

    AM3 MSI 770-C45 - DDR3 1600x4 770-C45 chipset

    ATI HD 5770 1024MB GDDR5
