  • Now, if someone could write a flute part ... nice tune. With my former improv teacher on bass.

  • @jazzflutist...Hey Bruce, Thanx for saying hello...I'm enjoying your channel...particularly like the latin stuff!

  • Very nice. Shamefully, this tune (and most of Bill's tunes) seldom get played anymore, if, really, they ever did. And you guys did a terrific job on it.

    Thanks much.

  • @snaaptaker; Hey Stuart, thanx so much. I gained a real appreciation for the work of Bill Evans when I started to try to play it...not only was he a masterful player but he wrote some beautiful work as well. Thanx for saying hello and take care!

  • This is beautiful musical interplay, as the name promises and the performance delivers.

I'm rather fussy over what jazz I like to listen to, but this definitely makes the cut.

If you haven't heard him, check out Jory Nash's Fly Me To The Moon.

  • how old is this guy ? he's been around for quite some time haha lol.

  • ...oh, and btw, yes, I do have other recorded material...perhaps we can do a 'show & tell' someday...:)

  • Hey fgjohnny...thanx so much for stopping by and for taking the time to offer some encouragement. I very much appreciate that...btw, we enjoyed your set w/BigfootJoe the other night...pity it was way past bedtime...lol!!!

  • djingo379. Beautiful music played beautifully. I've really enjoyed your pieces on youtube. Do you have other recorded stuff I could listen to?

ps this is the bass player with the blues band you saw at the Cambie

  • Hey my friend...it is always such a treat to hear from you. I hope you're aware of the precedent you've set; you're often the first to comment. I am truly grateful...btw, been lurking on your site a bit myself of late. One day I'm going to pick up a copy of Sonar...sounds like one kick... program. Yes, this session was recorded in Nov (if memory serves and that's no guarantee :) of 2000. I learned so much from my years of study with George!!!
