Thomas Howard - Girlz Buttz
From NeonFM: Dance Radio

SONG INFO: Girlz Buttz by Thomas Howard (with DJ Potatoe) is probably NeonFM's most famous song. It was the most prominently featured song in the preview screenshots, and by far is not a bad song at all.

NEON FM INFO: NeonFM: Dance Radio was a 5-panel dance game that was developed using a heavily-modified StepMania engine. It would've been published to arcades by Betson Enterprises, and was set for release in about 200...5? Of course, Betson dropped Pop'nKO and NFM for a bigger company - Konami and DDR SuperNOVA. PKO never found another publisher, and NeonFM sadly faded away. It's a shame, the game looked like it would've been amazing.

  • This song is one of many reasons this game would have failed in the commercial market.

This was an arcade game, but it contained a song like this? Much of the games lyrical content was a little iffy for a United States arcade market, so that might have caused major issues.

I personally dislike the art style that those guys had for everything, so the game is a little "ugly" to me in some regards.

Beyond that, the idea was wonderful and it should have been completed.

  • Really, if you look at the rest of the songlist, it seems to me like much of the game's music wasn't meant to be taken very seriously. =p

  • this is the greatest song in all of rhythm games.

  • There is a difference in market, however. In japan such stuff doesn't have such an "impact" like it would here. All but a very few (mostly recent) DDR releases in the arcade market were intended to even be in the US at all, so censorship of such wasn't any kind of issue.

This however, again, was intended to be in arcades at any mall or amusement location. While this is not at all vulgar, it still fits the mold for something someone would complain about.

  • DJ POTATOE!

  • LMAO!!

  • Ya know, damn good point. >_>

I think the focus of my issue is it being in a game, and thus younger people being "targeted" by it, and thinking that those crazy moms out there who claim pokemon will make your kid satanic would naturally take some major offense to it.

Ya know, on a side note, this song has become some kind of theme for many of us at work. :D

  • well, considering 95% of america has listened to "Baby Got Back" and somehow that's became "okay" to listen to by almost everyone, i think if it's heard enough people stop caring.

  • lol half of the ddr songs in most mixes either talked about sexuality, intimate love, violence, women, or drugs, sometimes blatantly.

i mean, even "little bitch" stayed uncensored even through extreme, lol

  • I need the lyrics, and I need them today.

  • Well, true, but a good portion of it is actually legit and normal. The stuff that is a little silly is sometimes just an inside joke, or something (Tacophobia? haha) but when compared to this.. oh god.

Then there is Freezepop and their trash, but that's a whole other story.
