There have been near 200 rebounds available in game. Boston had 109 their team alone in 1960 or 61 game. On avg there was 150 rpg in 60-61. That's an AVERAGE. You need to brush up on those facts. There have been more than 100 in 2013.

The most rebounds ever by all players combined in a game was 97 on March 19, 1960. 200 is a huge exaggeration. So what should we adjust? Is there a formula for converting 60's ball to todays? Is there a fine line that seperates when exactly players all of a sudden had magic sparkles thrown on them and became better and more athletic?

When there's 200 rebounds to get in total on occasions in the 60's .... 42 is not impressive. It's 41 isn't it? It's only fair. That's the whole point. To be fair. You can't compare numbers from then to now without adjusting something.

Name one NBA player that could match his mix of strength and athleticism. You said 42 rebounds back then isn't 42 rebounds today. Then what is it? 42 will always equal 42. No player has broken his rebounding record in a single game, single playoff game or in a career. You can blab all you want about "playing in a weak era" , but his numbers and achievements will remain the same.

I don't care what he'd do today. His competiton for REBOUNDING is 10x harder .. literally. It's not unmatched. Unmatched is him in the 60's.

You brought up Wilt's early years averaging 37 points shooting 49%. I brought up how great a playoff performer Jerry West was, then you brought up Magic Johnson's 20ppg-8rpg-and 12apg. I brought up Wilt's great playoff performances. His rebounding remained great for his whole career. I could still see Wilt today averaging 15-20 rebounds. His strength and athleticism is unmatched from any NBA player today.

You said Wilt in 67' was great, when did I judge players off a single year. You brought up a single year, so I gave others. 42 is not the equivalent to 42 today. His Game 5 was alright. Bandage on the hand, it's not top top performance. He was still being guarded by a scrub for that game and the whole series ... Lucky Reed was out otherwise that could be one less ring. And those 29.1 rpg are not 29.1 rpg today.

So if we're judging players by single playoff performances, how about Wilt Chamberlain's 1967 playoff performance? 21.7 ppg, 29.1 rpg and 9.0 ast. How about Wilt's playoff record 42 rebounds? Wilt's 24 points 29 rebounds 4 ast 6 blocks in game 5 vs the Knicks in '72?

Hakeem, Russell, Jordan, Magic, Bird, Duncan and maybe others like Shaq are better than West in the playoffs. It's not all stats. Why are you saying West = 2. Jordan in 91, Hakeem in 95, Duncan in 03 are the best individual playoffs runs. Wilt in 67 I don't know. And we've gone over this .. So your saying Wilt beat Russell and West in 68 and 69? Because that would make Russell ahead of Wilt, the Celtics with Russell at the core won, and maybe Wilt going from 20ppg in the reg to 12ppg in finals
